At the beginning of the month I was concerned I wasn’t going to make the numbers I made in July. I had one story get a mini Digg and that gave some great stats for the day. The end result was a high monthly visit rate. So that made August the concern – after all, can I do something that can be that powerful?

Apple said it was an update. They applied the update and it didn’t fix the problem. Apple is still saying its about the update.

Now a woman in Alabama sues Apple for false Advertisement. Jessica Alena Smith filed the lawsuit stating that the advertising said the iPhone 3G was suppose to double the speed of the original iPhone. There is no report of how much she’s suing for.

Nowadays you don’t use a phone to call a person. That’s too passe. Nowadays, you txt, you twitter, you picture message or whatever. Only call when absolutely, positively necessary. Then,…. don’t call.

It’s all about the video, right? Text is dead, audio is boring. We need video stimulation. So why not You Tube? Lifecasters, part-time jockeys, and even the occasional “Dad gets hit in the jublies with (insert object here)”. Why do we YouTube and could we live without it?

Remember when the Funniest Videos show was all the rage? I remember when we got our first video camera. Big ole thing that you had to hold on your shoulder. Walked around seeing if I could get that shot that could win me 10 thousand dollars. Never did.

Once again another stellar Live show came and went. @DedRyzing, @husker_fan, @jlariviere and more joined us for a great talk about a lot of things. One big subject was Operating Systems and how we always wait for the “Next One”. We had some great websites chuck full of information, too.

W3c has a great chart of OS Statistics. During the show we talked about how much storage there is out in the world. We found this site, which has a great footprint ticker. We also talked about Twitter Keywords, Cloud Computing and so much more.

Being a Wisconsin native, a lot of drama has come up with our football team – the Packers. I won’t get into it since this is not the site, but I will say I am happy how everything turned out. And for the record, yes. I am going to watch the Jets this season.

Props to all that are at the #NME. I wish I was in Vegas this weekend networking with you. I’ll definitely be there next year….
