Web Sites I go to Daily

Some of the sites I visit every now and then:

In the last page we talked about the sites I go to daily. These are sites I like to go to, but sometimes I just run out of time.

Worth1000

Worth1000

Back in the day I was really into Photoshopping. I started on Fark and moved to Worth1000 simply because I wanted to be challenged a little more. The site introduced me to the idea of Karma – being held accountable for your web experience. I am surprised the Karma system isn’t sold out to other websites – Things like Digg could probably get a lot of use out of it.

CareerSaver.com

Since Affiliating with CareerSaver, I have been spending time on their site. Yes, it’s because of association, but I am also thinking about getting another certification and am pondering what I will go for.

Ebay

My Ebay browsing has gone down. I think it all started in 2005 when I ran into a string of bad vendors. I lost only a small amount of money but it still made me concerned when doing business on this site. I can’t blame ebay for it – they can’t control the people trying to con money out of you. Especially those who have a low price on an item and high shipping charge.

Blubrry and Techpodcasts

This is the site I go to for most of my Podcasts. I am an active member to both and really enjoy what they do.

Daily Tech News

It’s a great aggregator without a lot of flash. It only displays headlines. A great place to get the hard to find news.

Hardware. It’s a great site for gamers and power users to keep up on the latest stuff.

Toms Hardware

I remember when this website started. It really has grown. Toms Hardware is a great place to get performance information. If you see benchmark tests on some sites, usually the info comes from here.

Ustream

Video shows. Of course I use Ustream for the LIVE SHOW (every Monday at 7 PM). It’s also got a lot of other great content. Chris Pirillo, HiWeb, Bwana.tv, Cali Lewis, the 404 and many many others.

Reddit

So many aggregators, so little time. I do like the easy customization of this site. Remove the categories I don’t want to see at this time. Once again, like Digg, it’s a popularity contest so sometimes it becomes more of a popularity contest than a news aggregator.

Technorati

Pretty much cut and paste Reddit into this section. Not to say it’s exactly the same – Technorati has a slightly different experience.

I also am a avid Podcaster and podcast listener. In the next page I outline the casts I usually listen to.

Spam Bust Brings Spam Down - Is That A Good Thing?

No, I am not an advocate of Spam. I am an advocate of controlled email. If you ask for it, you should get it, but it doesn’t mean you should get your email shared for so called “3rd party” affiliates. For if they are no longer and affiliate, do they still have your email address? [...]
