If you are planning to do some travelling, then getting a guide app for your iPad will help you navigate through the city without having to ask too many directions. That is what GuidePal will do.
GuidePal Offline City Guides has a list of a few cities around the world which you can refer to. Choose from some major cities like New York, Chicago, Amsterdam, Bangkok and more. Check out the places to dine, the places to visit and where the best pictures can be taken.
Since this is an offline city guide, you can download the city into your iPad. That way, if you don’t have a 3G or 4G iPad, you can still get the information you need.
With a 3rd Gen ipad, you will be able to look at the high-resolution pictures, as the program is Retina display enabled.

I also talk about cases. Apple came out with the new Smart Case, the next generation to the smart cover. Instead of a magnetic strip to keep the cover on, the case is just that – a full case for the ipad.
I reference Andru Edwards of GearLive. On Bleeding Edge TV 452: iPad Smart Case Hands-On - Andru installs the iPad into a case. Personally, I think it looks like a colorful TV dinner with an Apple logo on the back.
My choice for iPad case is the ZAGG folio with bluetooth keyboard. Granted, it’s no Microsoft Surface, but this case is durable, strong, and protective. How do I know? Because I already dropped my iPad onto concrete. Neither the iPad, keyboard, nor case was damaged.
