Thursdays is productivity apps day. If you know something that makes you more productive, or any application that I should talk about, let me know! Twitter @ipad365 or email email@example.com
Art applications can be a great productivity tool, then again, can also be a time waster. For the artist, a program like Sketchbook Pro can be something they can utilize quickly and efficiently.
Ever since that New York times cover that was painted on an iPhone, we have seen applications that help us draw and paint more. Sketchbook Pro is one of those apps.
This application is made by Autodesk, who is known for CAD drawing and other artistic software. Sketchpad Pro is only $4.99 in the app store.
Nomad Stylus Brush
As an artist, and more to the point as a painter, I know in painting that it was all about the brush. So when you start doing artistic things on an iPad, you think that the brushes cannot translate and you don’t get that same look and feel.
I first saw the Nomad brush at CES last year. I thought to myself – Can this actually work? The artist was painting a portrait while I was interviewing the CEO. It really showed a look and feel of painting on canvas.
Prices start around $20.
We’ll have more apps this week as we ramp up to the new show iPad365.
