YAPP YAPPbox: Create YAPP Invitation apps for iPad, iPhone

YAPPbox for iPad

Normally I don’t highlight an iPhone app for the iPad. When it works well with the iPad I am more apt to talk about the app. That is the case with YAPP – a quick way to make sub-apps for the iOS system.

The app system requires you to create the app through a PC web browser. You can give it a name, add some photos, put in the date of an event (or events) and associate a Twitter tag or profile name. Once you set up your YAPP app, you can set to publish. For example, Geekazine’s YAPP app is at geekazine.com/yapp. You can customize the URL for $5.

This will give you a custom app for an event like a Wedding or party. We might just put one out for CES, too!

To view the app, download Yappbox on your iPad and log in through the URL or the unique ID (for Geekazine it’s 5HRGZV).
