Ramblings - 6-28-08

Another week in the books. Been a long good one. We got a new Affiliate, I’ve been working on some cool projects and a whole lot more. Including Midget Wrestling.

Live Show was great, like always. Next one is this Monday at 7PM EST. We’re going to talk about IT Training and who has what for certs.

Tuesday’s podcast probably was my best show ever. I didn’t have any sound issues, and I only had to re-record one part. It was recorded and posted in under 2 hours. Am I getting the hang of this thing, or what?

Wednesday I spent all day working with someone on a seperate project. We’re going to get his businesses up and running and also get his website going. Should be fun.

Thursday started as a jumble. I got back to the house to make a 9 AM meeting which we rescheduled to that time, only to find out the meeting got rescheduled again. Kinda frustrating because I could have stayed where I was and enjoyed the day. But what can you do? Well, get work done. And I did. We went and visited a couple people for a side business I am working on and I think we got another client under the belt. Sweet!

Friday was mostly devoted to CareerSaver.com and getting the Affiliation going. This is a really exciting oppertunity and I am looking forward to working with Fred Dietz on this. Friday night was the night to relax though as I went to see the Micro Wrestling Federation. The true geekiness in me came out when I watched how they pulled apart the ring. I’ve seen rings come up and go down before, but it’s always a treat to watch it. The night was fun and I got some cool pix. They even crowned a MWF champion last night!

Today I was semi-working on a new website project. I am trying to capture a slightly different feel from what I normally put out. I did a lot of hunting. I also downloaded Joomla and Drupal. I used Joomla before and wasn’t too impressed. Drupal wasn’t much better. Maybe I’ll stick to reinventing the wheel. After all, I am just making a business website. Not a web portal, right?

Tonight I play with the Trailer Kings. A little bar called FIN’s in Edgerton. It’s right by the water so it should be a great time. Of course playing with these guys is always a great time.

So now I better get going to get ready to head there. Sunday is free so I will be getting the 5 min show out asap, and maybe get a Vocalo segment out too. Til next time!
