Wordpress 2.5 - Installation


I changed the password and looked around. Pretty snazy. However I wanted to see what my homepage looked like. Turns out - looks pretty snazy, too!

OK, so it’s not that great to look at. But I could easily remidy that by putting the Geekazine look to it. Only hoping it is easy as 1… 2…. 3.

I uploaded the theme and went into the settings. I changed it to my theme.

Then the true test of fate was to begin. I crossed my fingers. I wiped my brow. Then, I chose “Visit Site”.

The site had used the theme perfectly.

I was really impressed with the install. It only took a few minutes. It also was easy to run and it set things up so if I run more than one Wordpress blog I could keep them in one database.

Next week we’ll take a look at bringing over the data from a previous site.

CES - Day 1
