Comparing the iPhone 6s to the 6 – Should I Upgrade?

Podcast: EmbedSubscribe: iTunes | RSSThe new iPhone 6s is a powerful smartphone and can do a lot more. But if you are already on an iPhone 6 contract, you wonder if you should be upgrading to the 6s. I got an iPhone 6S from Verizon Wireless to check out and see if I should wait to upgrade or switch phones now. The Phone The 6s shares a lot from the iPhone 6. Also, the iPhone 6s Plus has a lot of similarities to the iPhone 6 Plus. The case, for example, is exactly the same. The screen size and resolution is also the same. The only addition to the s line is Rose Gold. Inside the 6s is an A9 processor with M9 co-processor. The phones can be purchased with 16 GB, 32 GB or 128 GB. Comparing the Default Drum Scene in QSC Touchmix

Podcast: EmbedSubscribe: iTunes | RSSThe QSC TouchMix 16 is a powerful mixer for bands, conferencing and more. When I saw the mixer at NAMM, I was definitely impressed. And looking for a good replacement to my mixer of 8 years, I found it in this product. I wanted to see how easy this was to set up and go. Therefore, I miced up my drums in the basement and plugged the QSC Touchmix in. The only thing I did was set levels to each drum. By plugging in a USB drive, I could record tracks easily. Each track is recorded in 32-bit with a bit rate of 1,411 kbps. That made for a 31 MB file for each track at about 3 minutes. Since I was recording 6 tracks, the end result was 180 MB. Sony Updates the 4K Handycam in FDR-AX53

Podcast: EmbedSubscribe: iTunes | RSSI am an avid user of the Sony Handcam cameras. Last year Sony came out with their first 4K Handycam and they improved on it this year with the FDR-AX53 4K Handycam. I got to talk with Christine while I was at CES 2016 about the features to this new model. The AX53 Handycam added some new features from last year, including the newest in Carl Zeiss technology and a new Exmor R CMOS sensor. The ZEISS Vario-Sonnar T lens has a 26.8 mm wide angle with a focal length of 24-70 mm and an aperture range of f/2.8 – f/22. One of my favorite features is the Intelligent Active mode. A 5-axis stabilizer that reduces camera shake even while running. They had several cameras set up on shaking platforms and a stable shot on screen. The internal wireless feature allows you to control...

Podcast: EmbedSubscribe: iTunes | RSSWhether you are playing an MP3 or listening to your vinyl, you want the best experience from your sound system and even your headphones. That is why Blue Headphones created a line of comfortable earwear. Last year they introduced Mo-Fi, changing the look and design of the conventional over-the-ear headset. Turn Your Light Into a Computer with Beam Labs

Podcast: EmbedSubscribe: iTunes | RSSYou might think “Why would I want to turn my light into a computer?” I was thinking that, too, until I saw what the folks at Beam Labs are up to. This is a ingenious bulb that has a full Android OS inside. Simply screw in the Edison bulb, turn it on and use the lamp as a projector. The first application I thought of was for a restaurant. You could  easily have a menu project onto a table. When you don’t want to see the menu anymore, flip the switch and it’s a regular light bulb. With the app, you could also turn that menu-light into an Internet Connected game system or video watching system. While the family waits for breakfast, they could be watching the latest news projected on the table from the overhead lamp. Most portable lamps could be converted to smart...
