First Look with Seth Leitman on the BMW i8

Podcast: EmbedSubscribe: iTunes | RSSThe BMW i8 is a remarkable sports car. The car is a plug-in hybrid that debuted in 2013 at the NAIAS in Detroit. I was there with Green Living Guy Seth Leithman looking over the car. We geeked out over the design and charge-ability. The prototype only had a fuel efficiency of less than 2.5 L/100 km. But it’s real feature was the aluminum frame with carbon-fiber reinforced plastic (CFRP). Since then, the BMW i8 has gone through some great upgrades. The 2015 i8 holds a 7.1 kWh lithium-ion battery for 76 mpg and up to 330 miles total. Of course, you can get there pretty fast, as the i8 goes from 0-60 in 4.2 seconds. The striking exterior is an added feature to it’s EfficientDynamic ventilation technology. The BMW i8 will reduce coefficient of drag to improve overall aerodynamics. At the end of the day,...

Verizon Jetpack 6620L MiFi Review Video

Podcast: EmbedSubscribe: iTunes | RSSWhen I was on travel the last few months, I got to take the Verizon Jetpack 6620L Mifi with me. It’s a great addition to any Itinerant’s tech gear as it saves your phone in so many ways. While I didn’t travel Internationally, I was in some spots where the signal was weak and was still able to keep in communication. The Verizon Jetpack 6620L is a 4G LTE mobile hotspot that can connect up to 15 devices. The 4,000 mAh battery gives a usage time of around 20 hours with an even better standby time. Two USB plug types so you can plug it in different sockets to keep the battery charged. The 6620L also is small enough so it can be put in a bag for travel. The Jetpack will work on LTE, CDMA, EDGE/GSM, and HSPA, so the Mifi can be used...

Podcast: EmbedSubscribe: iTunes | RSSso your summer is going well, but that big storm hits and you lose power in the house. Sometimes it’s for an hour. Other times it could go all night. But fear not, because there are some simple things you can do to get through a hot, sweltering night and still have some creature comforts of home! Most items can be found at the store: USB chargers I get a lot of these at conventions – seems to be the new swag. The idea is to use these things to charge your phone when it’s down to 10%. Some can get you back to 50%, some can fully charge your phone 2-3 times. I have used many chargers. One in particular is the MyCharge Razor. 6000 mAh will allow you to keep a phone charged, and also turn it into a power source....

Canon Unreal Bowling Makes the Game New Again

Podcast: EmbedSubscribe: iTunes | RSSI remember biking to my local bowling alley for 10 frames of fun and frustration. I was even on a league where I couldn’t figure out how to break 200. Nowadays, bowling is a sport that is losing interest as alleys are closing down. But can something like Unreal Bowling bring the excitement back? While at Infocomm 2016, I got to check out the “Unreal Bowling” by Canon and Crunchy Logistics. Using sensors and their Canon REALiS Projectors, they were able to give the lanes an interactive upgrade. Flip through the menus to choose what you want to do on the lane. You can attack Pumpkins, run the ball across a piano, see Fireworks and much more. This can even turn one game into many to bring excitement to the weekend-bowler. This is not a cheap investment as a simple lane like this starts...
