Netgear WNDR4000 Gives Password with Push of a Button
David Henry from Netgear came over to the TPN Live CES coverage to show off the new Netgear WNDR4000. They make it easier for consumers to set up a Gigabit router. They are thinking about connections to more than computers – like mobile devices and soon, TVs.
The WNDR4000 comes with applications such as “Ready Share” remote, allowing you to access storage drives from anywhere in the world. They also want to know when they set it up, they don’t have to think about it. If you are in the attic, you want the signal to be just as strong.
Same thing with the passwords. You don’t want to remember passwords, so with a press of the button, you can get reminded of what it is. That way if you have a device doesn’t have a keyboard, a handshake can be set up between device and router to set it up for you.
