It can then tell you what you are using and when. As more utilities are deploying energy, Nucleus will monitor and give you a report on how your devices use energy. It can also tell you how you can save energy. The smart meter uses the Zigbee Alliance to tell the smart house what to do and when to do it. So if you have to defrost the freezer, nucleus will let it know the best time to do so. If you have an electric car, the Nucleus can also tell you the best times to charge it.
