I want to let people (and especially guys) know there ARE girls out there who like computers and for more than games. I think that’s quite important … for all girls out there who know something about computers but are surrounded by guys who think they’re all stupid..

You might remember the products. You might remember the hype. Then, you are tooling down highway 41 years later and all of a sudden you think to yourself – “Hey, whatever happened to…”
Failed ideas. Maybe it was a great idea, but wasn’t made right, or design errors brought it down. Maybe it was just a bad product. Well, let’s take a stroll down memory lane and see if we cannot repeat these errors again.
Oh yeah, why 16? Well because we could.
The Computer Watch: Whether it was the Ruputer, the MSN Direct ‘Smart’ Watches, the Timex Data Link Watch or another gadget watch – BTW – I remember having a “Transformers watch”. It was awesome!
Still, the Dick Tracey style communication watches, the “Computer on a wrist”, never really hit it off. I even remember a watch that gave you directions. You would put in the paper tape and turn a little dial to indicate where you are and where you are going.
I remember when I was a kid I saw a movie with a car chase on the streets of San Fransisco where the camera was mounted on the hood. I wasn’t in the car, but when i watched the action, I felt the motion. Life has gone past chair at screen. We want to see, hear and feel the action. It brought a new rush to my movie experience.
Nowadays, chair at screen is not acceptable anymore. We want to see, hear and feel the action. We want our movies, our games and our emotions to emanate through that one chair. That is where D-Box comes in.
Guy Marcoo talks with Andy McCaskey about how D-Box brings gaming, home entertainment into a new realm. From theater seats to computer ‘cockpits’.

Comcast has been riddled in the news lately. Bandwidth caps, overage fees all for simply surfing the internet. However they simultaneously opened Fancast – a Video Download site which won’t go against that cap. They also have Comcast.net, Disney Connection and Rhapsody Player Plus – All within their community.
There was another company that tried to keep their members contained within their virtual fence. That company was AOL. However, AOL has been opening up for all to use. Still, I have to ask the question: Is Comcast becoming the next AOL?

Hasbro has made Scrabulous take down the popular knock-off game. Since then, the makers of Scrabulous have changed the rules, colors and board a bit and changed the name to “Wordscraper”. In the meantime, Hasbro makes its own Facebook App of the popular game. But you know, it’s not the only games on the block. In this article we’ll take a look at a few of the games you can add to your profile.
It was a Commodore Vic 20. We were up North at our Grandma’s house for Christmas in 1981. Our cousins had a Vic20 and we played some cool games. When we got home at the end of the week, we opened our presents and low and behold, we had a Vic 20. I swear I got up early every day of Winter break to play on this new machine. I did have to fight for use with the rest of my family, but I think I got some good time on it.

Fakes. Throughout time we’ve had to deal with those who want to pass something off as an original. Sometimes we are not fooled. Other times we go years thinking that it’s the real thing until some new technology tells us different.
In the last week I’ve seen many fake photos of different items – most notably the Large GPS picture and Windows 7 screenshots. There is even a video out there that supposedly displays Windows 7 functionality. While impressive, it makes me wonder if someone is trying to pass these off to make a quick buck?
