I tried overclocking years ago. It was geeky to do, but in the end I am not a hard core gamer that needs that extra couple megahertz. Therefore I let the processor work in it’s normal capacity.

But Intel is really helping out – not because they want you to – but they know that you will do it anyway, so they will help out so the overclocking is safer.
