1981 – Before Michael Scott was the head of Dunder Mifflin in the Office, he was the Apple Computer President. In his tenure, Mike sends an internal memo talking about how Apple needs to become a Typewriter-less company. The memo outlines their process for doing so and how it’s a campaign for all offices to ditch the Typewriter and get an Apple II. The memo was attached with a note with specific instructions for Ken to get rid of his DEC word processor ASAP.
**Note – Mike Scott of “The Office” (NBC) and Mike Scott of Apple are of no relation. Purely coincidental.

The NBC Universal trailer was a great place to relax, rehydrate, re-fuel, get a few articles out and get back onto the show floor. They had 2 trailers – one for the tech of NBC, and the other as a “Green Room” for staff.
We at Techpodcasts Network would like to thank our friends at NBC Universal for rolling out the “Peacock Carpet”. We truely felt like stars with them. Their hospitality will remain a real highlight in this years’ event.

The last day of the Consumer Electronics show is upon us and we were completely ready for it. Because the 9 person team was so efficient, we were able to cover most of the show in the 3 days. Today it was walking through the International side, catching a couple more interviews throughout the other halls, and of course stream the Day 2 Live Show from the NBC Universal booth.
Kara Karsten joined us on camera since not only did she review the one of two videos we created, but this item became the pick of the day. The Zeo Personal Sleep coach.

Day three of the Consumer Electronics Show and I am happy of the day. The live show from NBC Universal drew 8500 people. Thanks to all who watched the show and remember – we will be back on the stage Sunday at noon.
Andy had a small voice problem, so he did a limited amount of talking. We still went through some great products, but the product of the day was the WavIT – an iPhone remote control system. This device allows you to control any device like a remote for the iPhone. It’s not out yet – should be around in a few months. But when we used it, we created remotes, we used the presentation functions and a lot more.
Of course, remember to put the phone in Airport mode when you present the device…
