Skype Partners with Verizon, Acquires Qik

Rick Osterlash from Skype joins Todd for the TPN Live CES coverage.  They talk about the new iPhone 2 way calling application. They also announced two items. First of all, they announced their partnership with Verizon. Second, they announced the acquisition of Qik – a video sharing company. Skype launched extended partnerships with TV companies (Sony, Samsung, Panasonic, etc) and certain Blu-Ray devices. They also announced group video calling. Geekazine Partners with Mevio – Launches TVazine.com

Geekazine has been working with different vendors since inception in 2007. With Podcasts being part of the Techpodcast network, the video had a uncertainty to it.
