Do we rely on sites like twitter to stick around?

The other day I was talking with EpicOnline on my live stream at http://live.geekazine.com and we started talking about Twitter and what would happen if the company folded tomorrow. Not that it would happen, but we’ve already seen some sites dissapear. Stage 6, Think Secret, Apple Blog. Even Yahoo has closed services and shuttled over to another.

The Blogger I was trying to remember was Marc Orchant who passed away in December 2007
