Red-EHS Dispenses Medication Through Vending Machines: TCDisrupt 2014
We all want a vending machine in our house. One that is functional and helps with day to day operation. RedEHS vending machine is different because not only will it dispense medication it can dispense remotely via app.
Red-EHS is a tablet based system that manages the inventory of medical supplies. A nurse will open the app and check out medications for patients. A code is generated and sent to the machine either through Internet or Intranet. The code will in-turn be used to get the right medication to the patient.
The app tracks the staff member and the patient who needs the medication for inventory and accountability. Because RedEHS works with Verizon, the nurse does not even need to be in the building to give a patient their meds.
Currently Red-EHS are in living care facilities, correctional facilities, home health agencies, and secondary care markets. Machines could be installed at no cost to the patients needs.
For under $500 a month, you could be able to administer medications without having to be in the same room. For more information, check out R3dstar.com
